Northwoods Fall Art Tour - a self-guided tour of 32 artists' studios, many of which are rarely open to the public. The purpose of the tours are to engage the public in the art making process, and many artists encourage people to try their hand at the medium. This fun filled family fun event features chain saw carving demonstrations, over 60 arts-n-crafts vendors, live musical entertainment and a Paul Bunyan Roast Cook-off by area businesses. 46th Annual Beef-a-rama - Friday eve dance 6-9:30pm. Saturday 9am - Rump Roast Run sponsored by the Lakeland Area Rotary Clubs.
The downtown beef cook-offs begin bright and early in the morning along with live music and other tasty treats. Early sandwich sales begin at 1pm. Other all day activities include a craft show at Torpy Park from 9am to 5pm, kids activities, and of course the famous parade of beef at 2:45 down main street. Cap off the day by purchasing one of these succulent beef sandwiches at 3pm at Torpy Park, Minocqua.
